Curriculum
To facilitate both mainstreaming and graduation of special education students, administrators and teachers of Greenacre School and Sonoma County Office of Education have cooperatively written a extensive course description catalog.
Greenacre School offers a comprehensive selection of courses designed to meet the needs of individual students who are enrolled in its programs. Courses of study are determined through individual testing, conferences with home district counselors, grade placement, courses completed, credits earned, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
Credits are earned for each productive class work period where the student achieves 60% or better. For every fifteen (15) periods of productive work, students receive credit. Additional credits may be earned through Independent Study Contracts for specified work completed. Greenacre School does not issue high school diplomas. Evaluations for high school diploma eligibility are the responsibility of the district of residence. Districts award all high school diplomas.
