Sebastopol on Fire
Fire engine red might be the shade of Santa's holiday wardrobe, but for the boys at Greenacre Homes, it was the color of the true meaning of Christmas as the Sebastopol Volunteer Fire Department surprised EVERY boy in all 5 group homes with $25 Visa gift cards insuring their stockings would not go unfilled this December. Fire Chief Bill Braga said his team wanted to make sure the Greenacre teens received a special gift from their department since their Annual Toy Drive usually satisfies many of the younger kids in the community. Already touched by the extreme generosity of the department, the guys were invited for a private tour of the Sebastopol Fire Station which included learning what it takes to become a firefighter, checking out the cool engines and trucks and of course trying on the Chief's helmet! The boys were again caught with smiles as Chief Braga announced a request for a return visit during the summer heat as he'll need help testing the water pressure of the fire hoses.....he warns that a water "fight" might break out! Thank you Chief Braga and the volunteers of the Sebastopol Fire Department....you made our holiday unforgettable!
